Monitor glass reflection

You’re walking in a group. Elongated shadows.
Ponytail sways in warm glow. Bare trees, brown grass.
Four-leaf clover pendant. Stepping onto concrete landing,
helmet visor fractures light on your face.
You drip coffee on your lap. Particle board leans on drywall.
Holding a pocket mirror, applying mascara.
Shadows spill on grass. Door propped open,
stairway leading down. You’re sitting low on sunlit steps.
Fingertips graze the corner rail.
Check your phone briefly. Red hair tie.
You and another person twirl in multicolored skirts,
group leans back in unison behind you.
Security cam monitor divided into quadrants,
you and another patron, three inches apart on screen.
